The risk of chronic illnesses such as heart disease, strokes, cancer and
diabetes all can be reduced by some foods, did you know this? People just hope
that their health will improve on its own and carry on doing what they are
doing, ignoring this information. Rather than take this approach, consider some
of the simple things you can do to improve your health each day. Sometimes it
may be inconvenient for you to cook for yourself but if you do so you can add
some of the foods that will seriously improve your health. Instead of
pre-packaged foods you can have fruit which is a great source of fiber in your
diet. To stay healthy you need lots of vitamins and minerals, and vegetables
have these and are also very low in calories. You can reduce risks of getting
heart disease and strokes at the same time as reducing inflammation by eating
green onions and garlic. To boost your metabolism and keep your body functioning
well you should drink more water. These can make a big difference to your health
so you should add them to your daily food choices. To get in more physical
activity you do not necessarily have to become a gym junkie. You should go
outdoors a little more and there are loads of good reasons why. Your happiness,
bones and eyes are all affected in a good way by the sun which is also a great
source of vitamin D. Getting outside is great for people who suffer from
depression or anxiety as it can make them feel a lot happier. Think about all
the physical activities you can enjoy when you are outside. Playing with your
children or dog can be a good way to get you moving a little, or even walking.
Each day if you do some of these simple activities the risks of getting health
problems are greatly reduced. Laugh a Bit: It has been shown in research that
people who are happy are much less likely to get ill than unhappy people. Maybe
laughter really is the best medicine. Laughter and fun should be added into your
day. Joke around with some friends or watch a silly show. You could enjoy
playing with your spouse and your children. You will raise your endorphin levels
by laughing and you will feel good. This way you can greatly combat anxiety,
high blood pressure and depression. To live a healthy lifestyle you just need to
make wise choices, you don't need to give up on things that you enjoy. Likewise,
being healthy isn't always just about losing a bit of weight and eating like a
rabbit. Being happy and having good mental health are just as much a part of
your total health. If you want a happy and long life time then combine these
with having good physical health.

Not really, but I always live in fear of hurting my back worse than it already is. I suffer from a mild case of facet joint arthritis in my back. It's not crippling. But it does make me very conscious of what I do and how I do it. I have to be very careful not to over exert myself.
It's also important that I just don't give up and sit around on my tail. I try and do stretching and mild to moderate exercise to keep myself limber and strong.
Well, despite feeling bad today, I went to the gym. It was not my greatest workout. In fact, and another cutting it short after a while. I didn't try to do anything heavy. After all, I'm not some bodybuilder. This but going to the gym has helped my back. It's not the greatest idea to go work out with this cold I have.
